Holidaying in the United Arab Emirates

Posted on February 9, 2022February 10, 2022 by Juggle

Are you looking for your next ideal holiday destination?  You want great weather, combined with plenty to do, and fantastic places to eat.  Why not try the United Arab Emirates?

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates on the eastern side of the Arabian Peninsula. The emirates are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain. The country has been ruled by the Al Nahyan family since 1833, when it was founded by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In 1971, the UAE was granted independence from Great Britain and became a sovereign state. The Trucial States were established in 1820 to protect trade routes from pirates operating from Oman and Bahrain. In 1835, they signed a treaty with Britain which made them British protectorates.

It is a country with a lot of culture, tradition and rich history. It is also one of the most modern countries in the world  The country has everything to offer from high-end shopping to golfing and other water sports.

The UAE is a great place to visit for anyone who wants to experience the culture and history of the Middle East. The UAE has been able to maintain its rich and diverse culture while also embracing Western influences.

You can experience this by visiting one of the many museums, galleries, and exhibitions that are located all over the country. You can also enjoy delicious Arabic food or try out some of their famous falafel sandwiches.

It is also a great destination for shopping enthusiasts as you will find world-famous brands like Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci all in one place!

Is it suitable for kids?

Visiting the United Arab Emirates with kids is a great idea. There are many attractions for children to enjoy and experience.

Some of the most popular attractions, such as the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, are perfect for kids of all ages.

There is also a lot of shopping and dining options available to families with children.

Shopping malls like Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall have been designed with kids in mind, so they have plenty of activities for children to enjoy while their parents shop.

The Dubai Mall has a Kidzania which is an indoor theme park that offers interactive games that mimic real-life jobs.  What a great way to spend the day, especially if you can convince Dad to keep an eye on them while you spend the time at the shops!

There are also many family-friendly restaurants in Dubai where you can take your kids after a day at the mall or waterpark.  Food in the UAE is immense – hundreds of fantastic restaurants suitable for all budgets.  The best thing to do is to choose where you want to go before you travel, then you can book the best times for you.  Click here to use popular restaurant website Squaremeal to check out the best places to visit at your destination.  The website gives you recommendations, and also full articles – so if you know you want a Chinese, they will recommend the top 10 in Dubai, for example.  Click on the restaurant page, and it will give you everything you need to know – location, opening times, pictures of the food, and reviews.  It will also show you how to book a table, and provide a link to the restaurant website.  This way, you can see everything you need to know and plan your full week of eating!  We love the Royal China in Dubai, for its atmosphere and weekend brunch.    Or how about the beautiful Bar du Port, with its gorgeous waterfront views and delicious Mediterranean food?

Travelling with children can be a daunting task. However, if you have the right information and tools, it can become a lot easier. Here are some tips to help you plan your next family vacation to the United Arab Emirates.

* Pack age-appropriate clothing and toys for them. Screen time is okay on flights and while eating!

* Be prepared for potential delays in travel plans due to weather or traffic conditions.

* Make sure that your child is up-to-date on all vaccinations before entering the country.

* If you are traveling with a baby or toddler, make sure they have their own seat on the plane so they don’t disturb other passengers.

We hope you love your time in the United Arab Emirates!
